Dr. Goeckeritz is a Utah native born and raised in the Cottonwood area and moved to Draper in 1994. He attended the University of Utah where he graduated in 2004 with a B.A. in German.

After graduating from the U of U, Dr. Goeckeritz moved his family to Richmond, Virginia so he could attend Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. While in Virginia, Dr. Goeckeritz was selected with four other classmates to participate in a dental service mission to Jamaica. In a small village located outside of Duncans, Jamaica, they were able to address and treat the dental needs of the local people. This life changing experience became the foundation for a continuing desire to provide service for those who need it, and a passion for community and volunteer service.

Dr. Goeckeritz earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in General Dentistry.He graduated from VCU School of Dentistry as one of the top in his class, earning the highest honors achievable as a student.
