Dr. Schwartz attended Emory University for his undergraduate education, and dental school at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree. After dental school, he stayed at the University of Pennsylvania for his residency and completed his specialty training in orthodontics.
Dr. Schwartz is especially proud of his board certification with the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). Becoming Board Certified is a step beyond what is required to be considered an orthodontic specialist. Currently only about 30% of orthodontists are Board Certified. At the time of his initial certification, he was one of the youngest doctors to achieve such an accomplishment. In 2010, he became one of the first doctors to voluntarily re-certify with the ABO and the very first orthodontist ever to successfully present an orthodontic case treated with Invisalign to the American Board
