Dr. Herbst attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA), one of the elite dental schools in the US, who, at the time, only accepted three out-of-state students per year. A major influence of his pursuit in dentistry was his childhood dentist in Pennsylvania, who was an inspiration and a role model and he sought to follow in his footsteps. Having graduated dental school in 1989, he moved to Houston and worked as an associate dentist for 3 years before purchasing his existing practice in 1992. In 2010, he completely renovated and expanded his practice to enhance the facility and comfort for his patients in a “Tuscan Decor” relaxing environment.
